TutorLedger Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

TutorLedger helps private tutors manage students, lessons, payments, and reports.

Data stored on the device

Student names, school and grade information, contact details, lesson statuses, fees, notes, and payment records are stored locally on the user’s iPhone using Apple’s SwiftData technology. TutorLedger does not operate a developer-controlled server that receives this information.

Google Calendar

Google Calendar connection is optional. When the user grants permission, TutorLedger requests read-only Calendar access to display lesson events and match them with student records. TutorLedger cannot create, edit, or delete Google Calendar events. Google authorization tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain.

Tracking and advertising

TutorLedger does not contain third-party advertising, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking technology.

Backups

Users may export a JSON backup containing student, lesson, and payment information. The user chooses where the file is stored or shared and is responsible for protecting it.

Data deletion

Users can delete student records within the app. Removing the app from the iPhone deletes its locally stored app data, subject to device or iCloud backups controlled by the user.
